Girly Boot Cuffs With Christmas Bow
Skill level: Easy peasy, even for beginners.
Finished size: Make it to fit your calf. The one in the picture is about 4 3/4 inches wide and 4 inches long, with a bow that’s 3 inches wide.
Supplies:
Worsted weight yarn (For mine, one skein of Simply Soft can make many sets of boot cuffs red or green for Christmas colors)
5 mm crochet hook
Yarn needle
Skills:
Ch – Chain
Sl st – Slip stitch
Sc – Single crochet
Dc – Double crochet
Sk – Skip
Instructions:
Cuff (make 2)
Chain 36 or enough to fit around your calf with a little bit of stretch. Slip stitch to join.
Rows 1-7: Single crochet in each stitch around until the piece is about 1 1/2 inches tall or until it reaches your desired height.
Row 8: *2 double crochet in the next single crochet, chain 1, skip 2 stitches, repeat from * around.
Row 9: Chain 2, turn, double crochet in the next chain space, *chain 1, skip 2 double crochet, 2 double crochet in the next chain space, repeat from * around, slip stitch to join.
Rows 10-13: Repeat row 9 (or until you reach your desired height).
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Bow (make 2)
Chain 25 and slip stitch to join.
Rows 1-5: Single crochet in each stitch around.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Bow Center (make 2)
Chain 7.
Row 1: Single crochet into the second chain from the hook and in each across.
Row 2: Chain 1, turn, single crochet in each stitch across.
Fasten off and leave a tail long enough to sew on the bow.
Assembly:
Wrap the bow center around the bow and sew it tightly to cinch the bow in the center.
Sew the bow on to the back of the cuff at the center and on both ends.
