Look at this pretty sweater! It’s the first project I want to make from the new Doris Chan book, Crochet Everyday. Yesterday was my birthday – and, as usual, my dear husband forgot!! After 32 years of marriage, you’d think…….

Well, you know how it is. Anyway, today, he showed up after work with this book for me:

It’s really a lovely book. My friend Ronnie will enjoy the couple of knee and ankle length sweater/vest type projects in it. There’s also a cute bolero, pullovers, and several cardigans, including the green one above that looks JUST like what I want to make for myself.

Here’s what I’ve been working on lately – it’s unfinished. Stay tuned for more purses:

My friend Donna Jo saw this bag last night and suggested I put some flowers in the central pink ‘vase’. Sounds like a plan to me. Do you like the ‘button buddy’? I have made a ton of those – with everything from pearl buttons, to gold buttons, to all kinds of beads. They’re fun – actually quite addictive to make. He’ll probably find a new home rather than this purse. I just ran across him while looking for the RIGHT button to close this purse with. Didn’t find that – but I will.

So, Happy Birthday to me!
