You can never have enough baby patterns in your stash!
With four grandchildren (two boys and two girls) four years of age and under, I am always crocheting something. For the girls, I love this pattern since you can make it any size and the girls are 9 months and 3 years. So here is my go to pattern for them and for gifts.

Actually my current favorite right now is the rainboot bootie that you posted a few months after I had found it myself! But in the interest of trying to share new patterns, I just made a couple of these in a strand of yellow and a strand of white, one with a white pom pom and one with a yellow pom pom for a pair of preemie twins that were born right before Thanksgiving:
http://christcoffeeandknittingneedles.blogspot.com/2008/09/miracle-preemie-hat.html
(I’m making them the rainboot pattern in black and white for a homecoming present, hopefully they’ll be the right size and hale and healthy enough to use them come January!)
