This is a super quick project you could work up in just a few hours. What a perfect way to knock off some of those names on your gift list! And, don’t forget yourself either. If you don’t have easy access to this bulky weight or super bulky weight yarn, consider using a triple strand to fit the size N hook Angela calls for in her free pattern. Since I’ve purposely been staying OUT of yarn departments lately (trying to make a dent in the stash), I am not familiar with this particular yarn. I’ll take Angela’s word that it’s wonderful and inspired her to make this piece.
Here’s another view of this chunky scarf, doubled, worn like a cowl. I really do like the Dot/Dash look of the chunky bobbles that Angela has created with this yarn and her hook. Think I’m gonna have to try this one!
While looking online to find some sites that sell this yarn (it’s a Michael’s house brand), I ran across this lovely scarf, also worked on an N hook and offering a free pattern. Look closely and you’ll see the yarn depicted has a bit of sparkle to it. Again, I haven’t petted this yarn, but this one is quite a beauty!
