Did I ever tell you about the Bulky Scarf I made back in 2018? I think I may have shared this story before, but here goes again.
It was a cold winter day, and I decided to put my crochet skills to the test. I had recently learned how to crochet, and I thought it would be a great idea to make a bulky scarf to keep me warm. After a few weeks of on-and-off crochet work, I finally completed the scarf, it was a similar of not the same as the My Lenny pattern below.
I was so proud of myself, and couldn’t wait to take it out for a spin. I wrapped the bulky scarf around my neck and stepped outside. Immediately I thought that I had made a mistake. I had made the scarf too bulky! It felt like I was wearing a blanket around my neck.
I started to walk around, and it felt like everyone was staring at me. I was sure they were all laughing at me, thinking I was some weirdo walking around with a blanket around my neck. I felt so embarrassed and wished I had made the scarf a bit thinner.
After a few hours of walking around in the freezing cold, I started to get used to the bulky scarf. I actually found it quite cozy and comfortable, whereas everyone else in my group was cold. I started to feel a bit more confident, and I even started to appreciate the attention I was getting from people, now I believe they were all jealous.
It’s been a few years since that cold winter day, and I still wear my bulky scarf proudly. Every time I put it on I remember that embarrassing moment, and I can’t help but laugh at my mistake. I’m thankful that I was able to learn from my mistake and make a cozy and stylish bulky scarf that I can enjoy wearing all winter long.
So here are my top picks for super bulky scarf patterns.
This gigantic scarf pattern was inspired by the notorious big scarf worn by Lenny Kravitz. It’s a true statement item that looks great and keeps you warm and comfy.

Before you, go here is some history about winter scarves which have a long history, dating back to ancient civilizations.
The use of scarves as a form of clothing can be traced back to ancient Egypt, where they were worn as a symbol of wealth and status. In ancient Rome, scarves were used as a practical form of clothing, providing warmth and protection from the elements. In the Middle Ages, scarves were worn as a form of ceremonial dress, and were often made from expensive materials such as silk or velvet.
In more modern times, scarves have continued to be worn for both practical and fashion purposes. Winter scarves, in particular, are a popular choice in colder climates, where they provide warmth and protection from the cold. Winter scarves are often made from thick, insulating materials such as wool or fleece, and may be adorned with patterns or designs.
