Materials:

  • Worsted weight yarn
  • Size H crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Chain 4 and join with a slip stitch to form a ring.
  2. Chain 2, then work 10 double crochets into the center of the ring. Join with a slip stitch.
  3. Chain 2, then work 2 double crochets in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch. (20 stitches)

  5. Chain 2, then *work 1 double crochet in each of the next 2 stitches, then 2 double crochets in the next stitch. Repeat from * around. Join with a slip stitch. (40 stitches)
  6. Chain 2, then work 1 double crochet in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch.
  7. Repeat step 6 until the beret reaches the desired size.
  8. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
