25% Off Yarn Sale – Why This Is a Big Deal for Crocheters

February 11, 2026 by Shellie Wilson

Alright my crochet queens… gather in.

I was not planning to buy yarn this week.

I went in “just to look.”
You know how that story ends.

Next minute? I’ve placed a $120 yarn order for Valentine’s Day. For myself. Because honestly… I love me. And I love my creativity. And nobody appreciates a fresh skein delivery quite like a woman who knows the joy of a new project.

And the reason I pulled the trigger?

There’s 25% off yarn right now and I was not about to miss that.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign — this is it.

25% Off Yarn – The Kind of Sale We Actually Wait For

This isn’t one of those “5% off if you spin in a circle and clap twice” situations.

This is a proper 25% off yarn sale. The kind where:

  • Blanket quantities suddenly feel reasonable
  • That luxury blend you’ve been eyeing becomes doable
  • You can justify buying enough for the cardigan AND the matching hat

I did the maths (because at 46 I justify everything with maths now). That 25% meant I could add two extra skeins and still stay under what I expected to spend.

Girl math? No. Crochet math.

My Valentine’s Day Gift to Myself

I used to wait for someone else to buy me flowers.

Now? I buy yarn.

Because yarn:

  • Doesn’t die in a week
  • Doesn’t need watering
  • Turns into something useful
  • Feels like therapy in your hands

This year I decided I’m celebrating my creativity. My time. My quiet evenings on the couch with a hook and a podcast.

So yes, I placed the order. And I have zero regrets.

If You’ve Been Thinking About…

  • Starting that granny square blanket
  • Making stock for markets
  • Crocheting Christmas gifts early (imagine that level of organisation)
  • Finally making yourself a cardigan
  • Restocking your neutrals
  • Trying a new fibre blend

Now is the time.

Because paying full price later will hurt more than explaining the parcel to your husband.

And let’s be honest — 25% off quality yarn doesn’t hang around forever. The good colours go first. They always do.

A Little Smart Yarn Sale Strategy

If you want to shop without going into full stash-chaos mode, here’s what I did:

  1. Picked a colour story.
I stayed in soft romantic tones for Valentine’s projects — blush, cream, a deep berry.
  2. Bought sweater quantities.
If you’re going to do it, do it properly.
  3. Added neutrals.
Because cream and grey never betray you.

Intentional. Grown-up. Still exciting.

Ready to Love Yourself a Little?

If you’ve been pouring energy into everyone else — kids, grandkids, partners, work, life — maybe it’s time you buy something that feeds your creativity.

A skein (or ten) can do that.

And if you also end up with a $120 “Valentine’s gift to yourself” situation… just know I’m right there with you.

Creative women deserve beautiful yarn.

Here are some of the yarns, I picked mostled speckled this time.
