When I ran into this cowl, I fell in love with it! It is a free download at the link shown here and has two different ‘tabs’ that coordinate with it or it can be worn without. Janet has included this helpful description for us:
“Perfect for the office, this cowl owes it knitted look and drape to the simple single crochet mesh stitch and a wonderful wool/silk blend yarn (Silky Wool by Elsebeth Lavold). It can be worn three ways . . . by itself, with it’s tailored buttoned tab, or with the flower embellishment buttoned onto the tab. It only takes one skein of yarn, and works up in just a few hours of crocheting. The tab is done in the Tunisian Knit Stitch, but could also be done in single crochet. Be sure you check your gauge . . . and after you’ve completed a few rounds, pull it on and make sure it will fit easily over your head.”
This would also be an easy way to wear that large broach your grandma used to wear that you can’t find a suitable use for. Don’t use one that’s so heavy it’ll weigh down the cowl. Also, wouldn’t this be the time to splurge on that skein of luxury yarn you’ve had your eye on for months? This is one you OWE yourself!
