Amigurumi Oh Poo Crochet Free Pattern

August 8, 2026 by Shellie Wilson Leave a Comment

Sometimes the silliest crochet projects are the ones people remember most, and Emotional Support Oh Poo definitely falls into that category. This quirky little amigurumi pattern is equal parts gag gift and oddly adorable desk buddy, which is probably why it has stuck around as one of those classic CraftBits novelty makes. The finished piece is about 5 inches tall and uses worsted weight yarn with a 4.00 mm hook, so it is a small, manageable project that does not need a huge yarn commitment.

The shaping is worked in rounds, then finished with simple facial details like felt accents and wiggly eyes, giving it a lot of personality without being overly complicated. It is the kind of project that would be fun for a joke gift, a potty-training helper, or just something ridiculous to make your crochet group laugh. The page itself even describes it as a cute addition to a toy collection and a unique gift.

This one is best suited to crocheters who are comfortable reading classic pattern shorthand, but it is still a fairly quick amigurumi make overall. If you love unusual softies, it would pair nicely in a roundup with the Emotional Support Ollivander Octopus, the Crochet Siamese Cat, or the decorative Amigurumi Geisha Doll.

Free Crochet Pattern – Winterberry Mug Cozy

This Winterberry Mug Cozy is such a sweet little project, and honestly it ticks a lot of boxes for me. It is a free crochet mug cozy pattern by Michelle Moore of MJ’s Off The Hook Designs, updated March 15, 2026, and it is designed as a quick, practical make with a textured stitch pattern and a crocheted bow closure.

What really makes this one feel current is the bow detail. Bows are having such a moment right now, and this pattern leans into that trend in a way that still feels useful rather than overdone. Instead of being fussy, the bow gives the mug cozy a cute handmade finish that makes it perfect for gifting, market stalls, or just making your morning tea feel a bit prettier. The pattern page also notes it works up fast, uses minimal yarn, and is ideal for gifts, markets, and stash busting.

I also like that it is practical. The pattern is made to fit a 12 oz mug, uses worsted weight yarn, and calls for only about 45 yards for one cozy and 15 yards for one bow, so it is very much the kind of small project you can squeeze in between bigger makes.
