WOW! I think this is an outstanding ‘sampler’ style bag. To begin with, I’m a fan of this shape purse AND I like the colors used. But, I think it’s the stitch variations that really make the look.
Haven’t tried broomstick crochet (that peacock-eye-looking stitch)? No worries. Not only does Laurie offer us this pattern for free, she’s got an excellent tutorial to accompany it. A bonus is that you’ll learn to create a plaid design for the opposite side of the purse. Well, I guess you could make two ‘front’ pieces, but Laura has paired the sampler style with the pretty coordinating plaid so you can have two totally different looks.
If you’ve been a regular reader of my blog, you know I’m a fan of Laura’s designs. This is another winner!
