Have you seen this book? I can’t believe I’ve overlooked it for years thinking it was the similarly titled “Blue Ribbon Afghans”. This book contains afghans – but also fashions, baby stuff, dolls and toys, home dec, and ‘heirloom masterpieces’ in 176 pages of color photos and some schematics.
I will add that I THINK THERE SHOULD BE A LAW that the backs of all garments be pictured in any crochet pattern book! Same for close-up photos of details indicated by the pattern. That said, this book has pretty good photos of all the projects.
Some highlights:
Underwater Adventures Afghan with its 3D appliques and deep colorful border make it a stand-out.
Butterflies in Flight Valance is an intricate cafe-curtain style valance with lots of butterflies and flowers.
Goose Chase Puzzle Box gives us a chance to make a kids toy that isn’t a doll or stuffed animal.
And, for non-pineapple lovers (like Enid R.), the Passionflower Beaded Doily offers a satisfying, colorful project with pretty fan-shaped motifs.

I also have this book. I just love to crochet and this book has some beautiful items to crochet. I picked my book up for 75% off a couple of years ago.
