The badge intimates that I’ll be attending the North Shore Yarn Crawl in the Boston area. Well, if I lived anywhere in its vicinity, I’d be there. I absolutely love Yarn Crawls! They are a great way to spend a day or weekend, get to meet a bunch of other crocheters and knitters, spend way too much money on yarns that are specially priced for the event, and get to scope out shops you wouldn’t otherwise visit. In short, it’s a yarn lover’s heaven!
So, if you can get yourself there, don’t miss the event. A bunch of shops are participating and a bunch of great prices (totaling $2,000) will be given out. Typically, you’ll pick up your Passport and Map at the first shop you visit, get your Passport stamped at each shop you visit, turn it into the last shop you visit, then wait to be notified if you’re one of the lucky winners.
In the three Yarn Crawls I’ve attended in the St. Louis Area, I’ve yet to win a prize – but………petting all that yarn and spending the day with my crochet friends (hey there Ronnie!!) is a prize for me.
