Crochet Pattern – Christmas Reindeer’s

November 14, 2017 by Shellie Wilson

I imagine that these two Reindeer’s have their hands up saying “Pick me Santa”. I love Reindeer’s and a couple of years ago I was lucky enough to visit Finland where I got to go on  Reindeer ride in a sleigh. It was am experience the kid’s and I will never forget. Especially since afterwards we went in to the warm cafe and ate Reindeer hot dogs. It was funny, but not funny. I now feel I need to repay back my love by linking to amazing Christmas Crochet Reindeer patterns. This one is NOT in English but you can use google translate to convert it. The numbers are all the same it’s just the bits in between.

Are you looking for a unique and meaningful last-minute Christmas gift? Why not try crocheting some beautiful Christmas tree baubles? This is a great way to show your love and appreciation for someone special, as handmade gifts are always treasured. Plus, it’s a fun project that can be completed in a relatively short amount of time.

Crocheting Christmas tree baubles is a great way to create an extra special gift for someone special this holiday season. You can create a set of baubles in a variety of sizes and colors, with added embellishments to make them truly unique. You can also create a personalized set for a special person, with their favorite colors and designs.

The best part about crocheting Christmas tree baubles is that you can use a variety of yarns, threads, and other materials to make them. You can create a simple set of baubles with just yarn and a crochet hook, or you can use sequins, beads, ribbons and other materials to make them more decorative. You can even use a variety of colors to create a festive, holiday-themed set.

Once you have the basic shape of the bauble, you can also add other decorative elements. For example, you can attach a loop of ribbon at the top of the bauble to hang it from the tree, or you can add a bell or star charm to make it extra special. You can even add a personal message or name to make the gift even more meaningful.

So, if you’re looking for a last-minute Christmas gift, why not create a set of crocheted Christmas tree baubles? It’s a great way to show your love and appreciation for someone special, and it’s a fun and creative project that can be completed in a relatively short amount of time.

The Forest Valley Shawl – Crochet Pattern

This is one of those shawl patterns that feels instantly calming, even before you pick up a hook. The Forest Valley Shawl (After Party Pattern 23) by Scheepjes, available through Jimmy Beans Wool, has a very gentle, nature-inspired feel that really lives up to its name.

What I love about this design is how wearable it is. Some shawls are beautiful but awkward to style; this one feels practical in the best way. It drapes naturally, sits nicely on the shoulders, and works just as well for everyday wear as it does for something a little dressier. It’s the sort of piece you grab when the air cools in the evening and you don’t want anything heavy.

From a crochet perspective, this is a lovely “slow and steady” project. The stitch pattern has enough variation to keep your interest, but it’s not overly complicated. It’s very much the kind of crochet you can sink into — the sort that lets your mind wander while your hands keep moving. Perfect for quiet afternoons or evening crochet sessions.

Skill-wise, this one is best suited to confident beginners moving into intermediate territory. If you’re comfortable following a pattern and keeping your stitch count in check, you’ll enjoy this a lot. It’s also a great pattern for appreciating beautiful yarn — especially colourways that shift and flow, as the shawl really lets them shine.

Overall, the Forest Valley Shawl is one of those free crochet patterns that feels thoughtful and soothing. It’s wearable, relaxing to make, and finished with a look that feels timeless rather than trendy. If you enjoy shawls that are as comforting to crochet as they are to wear, this one is definitely worth bookmarking.
