I’m often asked for the name of ‘the’ authoritative crochet reference book, especially for a beginner or intermediate crocheter. There are lots of useful crochet reference books to be had, but I don’t think you’ll find one that is any better than this on. I have the older edition, but it’s been updated with a fresh new cover. If you can purchase only one crochet reference book, this is the one I’d probably want to have on my book shelf.
The image is pretty small and you might not be able to see it clearly. The title is “Crocheting in Plain English” by Maggie Righetti and it’s published by St. Martin Press. You can find it for sale online and it may well be available through your local library. Check it out!
