Online magazines are coming our way. There are two crochet related mags online that I know about. Crochetme is the first. Now comes Crochet Uncut.

There are articles and some free patterns. The idea of liberating crochet and freeing the designer within each of us is powerful. There is not much we can’t do with a bit of encouragement.
Now, we have so many wonderful designers publishing hard copy books full of patterns as well as these wonderful online mags.
I do enjoy having a book or magazine to hold in my hand, to flip back and forth while holding in my lap. This is like what Valium must feel like to others – calming and centering. Makes the hectic world disappear while I disappear into the pages of the crochet publication.
But, the internet has its own appeal when it comes to crochet. The ability to get ideas out to us very quickly is a boon. The ability to view photos on blogs and websites opens a lot of vistas to us – different color combinations, original designs, lots of commentary.
So, surf the net and find a crochet or other craft magazine that appeals to you. Support that site and the designers who contribute. Better yet, become a contributor yourself.
