Forget this very strange picture and trust me when I say that this little book is what a crocheter would want to have in her (his) bag as a companion. It’s a nifty, compact, thorough resource that is small enough (5X7 inches) to fit handily into your crochet bag. As with all Interweave books, it’s of very high quality, well presented, and full of useful information.
What’s in this little number? A complete guide to all the crochet stitches I’ve ever heard of and many techniques. There are clear illustrations for each heading. If you’re into graphs, those are not here. But, the presentation of each stitch and technique is fully covered IMO with the illustrations. Virtually every aspect of crochet is covered in this concise 131 page, spiral bound, flip book. The hard cover and sturdy matte finished pages will stand up to years of use. In addition to the stitches, other topics covered include How To Read Patterns, Motifs and Medallions, Tunisian, Decorative Finishings, Finishing Techniques, a section on Troubleshooting, and a great Index and even a small list of Associations and Websites that will be of help.
If you need such a reference book or if you want to purchase a great crochet gift, this book is just the thing! There have been previous editions, but this one is the most complete. You’ll be amazed at how much information has been packed into this small, handy volume.
