The blog above is one of those GREAT blogs that gets my creativity in an uproar. I just LOVE Susan’s (crochetroo’s) free hat pattern – check it out by scrolling down on the opening blog page – and I’m very impressed with the Christmas napkin rings and coasters she has created. I’ve gotta make some of those!
Now, my husband is a grown man, but he LOVES steam trains. If this were done in more muted colors, I think he’d wear it. Isn’t this the cutest ‘boy’ cap you’ve ever seen?
Her ‘take’ on crochet reminds me of Thata Pang’s. Cute, cute crochet, very prolific crocheter, exquisite execution. All gain, no pain for the rest of us. This crocheter also has an Etsy store.
Here’s another example of her whimsy! A bowl of crocheted fruit:
Normally, I would need for this fruit to be very realistic in color – but Susan’s muted tones WORK! She’s a master at color as well as having a wickedly fertile imagination.
An Update – another great cap:
You’ll find this and a lot more on this great blog, including a free pattern for a great little frog cap. So, check out http://crochet roo.blogspot.com/ !

I was thrilled to see you praise Crochetroo’s site. I, too, think she is wonderfully creative and love to see what her fertile mind comes up with next.
