Crochet Pretty Scallop Pattern Necklace – A Delicate DIY You Can Make With Thread, Wire and Beads

If you love crochet jewelry projects that feel a little bit pretty and a little bit unexpected, this Crochet Pretty Scallop Pattern Necklace is such a fun one to try. It uses simple supplies like crochet thread, a hook, 24-gauge craft wire, and a few beads to create a lightweight statement necklace with a soft scalloped edge.

What I like about this project is that it feels a bit different from the usual crochet accessory patterns. Instead of yarn-only construction, the crochet is worked directly around wire, then finished with scalloped stitches and tiny beads for extra detail. The pattern is built in clear rounds, starting with chain loops around the wire, then adding double crochet scallops and a decorative final edging.

It’s definitely the kind of project that would appeal to crafters who enjoy mixing techniques. A little crochet, a little jewelry making, a little bead glueing, and suddenly you’ve got something that looks boutique without needing a huge pile of supplies. I can also see this being a nice stash-buster for leftover crochet thread, which we all know has a habit of lingering in drawers forever.

Another nice touch is that the design is easy to personalize. The tutorial suggests trying different yarn colors and bead choices, which makes this one of those projects you could recreate a few times and still get a completely different look each round.

If you’re after a crochet necklace pattern that’s feminine, handmade, and a little bit vintage-looking, this one is well worth a look. It’s sweet, wearable, and just unusual enough to make people ask, “Wait… you made that?”
