Free Crochet Pattern – Shawl Collar Baby Cardigan

February 3, by Shellie Wilson. Leave a Comment

I recently had the pleasure of crocheting the Bernat Shawl Collar Baby Cardigan for a 6 month old and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The pattern itself is well-written and easy to follow, making it a great option for beginners or experienced crocheters alike. The finished cardigan is simply adorable, with a classic and timeless design that any baby would look adorable wearing.

One of the things that I loved most about this pattern is the use of Bernat Softee Baby Stripes yarn. The yarn is incredibly soft and perfect for a baby garment. It has a self-striping feature which adds a nice touch to the overall look of the cardigan. I used the yarn as recommended in the pattern and it worked up beautifully. The yarn is easy to work with and the colors blended seamlessly to create a beautiful finished product.

The shawl collar design is such a nice touch and adds a bit of elegance to the cardigan. It is a perfect addition to the overall look and feel of the cardigan. The collar gives the cardigan a sophisticated look and it’s easy to make, the instructions are clear and easy to follow.

The pattern includes direction for 6 months size, which was perfect for the baby I was making it for. The size is true to the measurements and I was able to finish the cardigan in no time. The final product was a perfect fit and it was comfortable for the baby to wear.

Overall, I highly recommend the Bernat Shawl Collar Baby Cardigan pattern to any crocheter. It’s a beautiful, classic and timeless design that any baby would look adorable wearing. The pattern is easy to follow, the yarn is soft and easy to work with and the finished product is simply beautiful. It’s a perfect project for anyone looking for a special and thoughtful baby gift. I will definitely be making more in different sizes in the future.
