I have a new LOVE! I found this yarn today at Hobby Lobby while I was looking for some baby yarn. I would love to hear if others have purchased it, for what projects, and how is it to work with? It comes in a stunning array of colors and seems well priced. I think I’m gonna have to order me some…….

This yarn is a mercerized cotton and also comes in a version that does not have the metallic flecks. I’ve not seen the non-metallic in person. But, at the website (www.creativeyarnsource.com) you can see the non-metallic colors.

I bought some in the lilac and yellow, I am making doll clothes out of it. They also have a new yarn called Stella that is similar to the rustica with the silver running through it. I’m waiting until next week to buy so I can use a coupon. Not sure what I am going to do with it but it is beautiful.

I just found your blog – I too found the Rustica at my Hobby Lobby in Prescott, AZ last year. I’ve used it to make book thongs and a long hippie vest for me. It works up nicely and drapes like a dream. It was nice for the book thong, but I found that it didn’t do well used for the tassel. It has the glitter thread shot through and it seems to separate when cut and used in the tassel. But it was so pretty that I will just use a coordinating yarn from now on for the tassel and still use the Rustica for the body of the thong. Good luck with your projects!

Yes. This is a fanastic yarn. I’m crocheting the Pieta in lavender and it is beautiful. However, I can’t find it now. Can anyone let me know where I can get some more? I would greatly appreciated it.
