You can use any type of yarn and hook size for this pattern.

Step 1: Start by chaining 30 stitches.

Step 2: Slip stitch into the second chain from your hook. Then, make 4 single crochet stitches into each chain until you reach the last chain.

Step 3: For the last chain, work 10 double crochet stitches. Slip stitch into the same chain, chain 1, cut your yarn, and pull it through the chain. Make sure to pull it tight and weave in your ends securely.

Step 4: For the eyes, you have two options. You can use self-adhesive googly eyes or embroider them using black yarn (french knots work well too). Attach the eyes to your Worry Worm.

Congratulations! Your Worry Worm is now complete!

Here are 4 of my variations for the Worry Worm Poem

Worry Worm, oh so small,
Bringing love, joy, and a smile to all.
Keep me close, hold me tight,
I’ll bring comfort through the darkest night.

This little Worry Worm I send,
A friend to help you on the mend.
When worries cloud your mind so deep,
Hold this worm, and find peaceful sleep.

A Worry Worm to call your own,
In times of stress, you’re not alone.
Squeeze it tight, let worries unwind,
This little friend is here to remind:

Worry Worm, with yarn so bright,
Bringing warmth and love, day and night.
When troubles come, just hold me near,
I’ll chase away your every fear.

With each stitch and loop, I’m made,
A Worry Worm, your worries will fade.
Tie me on a gift or hold me near,
I’ll bring you comfort, have no fear.

Worry Worm, a tiny guide,
Through life’s ups and downs, side by side.
Attach me to a gift, and you will see,
Love and peace will always be.
