Inca Gold Cotton is a Winner!

Inca Gold Cotton From Galler Yarns

Galler Yarns is a company that was new to me.  They sent me a skein of delicious Inca Gold Cotton.  I wasn’t sure it would be delicious since I am not a fan of crocheting with  cotton yarn.  BUT!  Then I got my hands on this yarn.  It feels like silk!  I very quickly devised a pattern to crochet for myself – no one else!  This is what my one skein of this wonderful yarn wanted to be (kindly modeled by my friend Melinda):

So, here’s the before (obviously not in the same color):

And the after – where you can get a better idea of stitch detail:

You can make the same cowl as I did by following my simple pattern.

Using an L hook and a single strand of Inca Gold Cotton, chain 21

hdc in 3rd chain from hook and in each stitch across, chain 2, turn

continue to crochet in pattern (hdc, ch 2 turn at the end of the row) til you’re almost out of yarn then turn the beginning edge of the scarf over to create the moebius drape and stitch the two ends together (i single crocheted the edges together).  Voila!  You’ve got your very own, deliciously soft and beautiful cowl.
