Some of Jimbo’s hooks
You may have read my previous articles reviewing various hooks. Well, I’ve found another hook maker worthy of attention. Not only are his hooks wonderfully finished, he makes them to build his family home and to support a charity that gets very little attention.
Go to:

to check out Jimbo’s front porch. Scroll down to see some of his hooks. The one I’ve actually handled was made from a chopstick and still carried the original wording burned into its shaft (along its length???). It was beautifully carved and had a silky finish.
Here’s a picture of a hook containing an amazing burl (hope that’s the right word) that looks like a double angel:

Some time I would love to own my own wooden crochet hook by Jimbo or someone else, but at this time i have to watch what I spend, bummer but what can you do. I however did think of making my own hook. Don’t really think I’d be any good at it, lol, but i have made my own knitting needles with dowl rods. So iguess there is some possibility there. Right?

I have 3 of Jimbo’s hooks and they are the only ones I use. (unless they aren’t the right size for the project, or course) You just can’t compair and Jim is a pure sweet heart!
