What’s NEW about this dress is the waist line treatment. There are other examples of Mrs. Obama wearing outfits that show off her cinched waist, often with a very wide belt. Wish I had that figure! Once upon a time, I did! Never again, I can assure you.
With this fashion trend in mind, I saw this pattern that I thought would make a lovely accent for any number of outfits.

The original pattern for this is a choker. However, it wouldn’t take a genius to lengthen the pattern to make it fit around the waist. I think it would be an exquisite addition to the LBD (little black dress).
