There is something about a dachshund that seems almost designed for crochet. That ridiculously long body, those tiny little legs, floppy ears and the unmistakable sausage-dog silhouette translate beautifully into yarn.
And apparently I’m not the only one who thinks so.
Dachshund crochet patterns have become wonderfully varied over the last few years. You can still make the classic little brown amigurumi puppy, of course, but now there are chunky plush dachshunds, dachshunds wearing sweaters, mosaic crochet cushions, graphgan blankets and even sausage-dog bookmarks.
