The stated purpose of these monstrously cute bags is to hold plastic bags. I’m sure they do that really well. But, when I look at them, I see a great way to have little ones stash their PJ’s neatly every morning. These would even make good dirty laundry bags for each kid, encouraging them to pick up their dirty socks and shorts to ‘feed the monster’. Anything that encourages the kids to pick up their rooms is a good thing, right?
Also, as the free pattern states, these are made from yarn scraps. So, you can do that or you can theme them to the color of your decor, you kid’s favorite color combo, or to make them really monstrous, use those glow in the dark yarns. OOOOh. Spooky! But, don’t scare the little guys. Make them friendly monsters. They can hang from a door knob, cup hook, or hanger in the closet. And, if you do decide to stow plastic bags in them, you’ll smile every time you do!
