Grandma Pam has some cute crochet patterns! Here are two that will work up very quickly for Christmas.
You won’t be able to resist the cute little Paperclip Wreaths. I bet these would make good teacher gifts – simple, quick, and very inexpensive but appealing. You can get the pattern for the trees here and for the Paperclip Wreaths here. While I like the idea of the Wreath for a bookmark, I really like the look of the Paperclip Wreath as a brooch – clipped over a pocket as shown here. You could easily clip it to a collar too.
After you look at the cute Christmas stuff, you can take a look at what actually took me to this blog. Di Sturgess emailed me a link to a lovely scarf (or jumbo necklace) designed by Dedri Uys that originated as the pattern for this bracelet. I am intrigued by this bracelet since it is made exactly the way my middle school students have been making most of their very hot, trendy rubber band bracelets in neon colors. I’ve made one rubber band bracelet so far, but have purchased supplies so my ‘kids’ can make as many as they want. The link pattern shown here mimics the most basic of the kids’ designs.
Of course, either the bracelet or the scarf could be worked up in any color(s) you like and would both make wonderful gifts. And, if you really like joining those ‘chain links’, make a gazillion or so and wrap them around your Christmas tree as a garland. How cool would that be? Use some sparkly yarn, add some dangly charms or small ornaments, and you’ll have a garland unlike any other.

the Paperclip wreaths would also clip onto plain headbands to make a Christmas decoration.
