You may not be able to read the instructions for the delicate motifs on this site, but you can follow the charts – or just use the idea to make a similar project using motif patterns you already own or can find online.
Your wreath could be real or artificial, heart shaped or whatever shape you like or have available. I do like the way these motifs seem to nestle within the branches of this ‘evergreen’ wreath. Such wreaths are easy to find this time of year at thrift stores. If you find one that is already decorated but you can get it for just a few bucks, go ahead and take it home. Using a pair of kitchen shears, you can remove all the items that have been wired or glued onto the wreath. Then, you are ready to replace those old items with your new, crocheted motifs. If the wreath is in pretty battered shape, camouflage any damage with a garland of some kind. You can use tinsel, ‘pearls’, ‘beads’, or crochet one. Then your motifs will hang freely and look oh, so charming!
Of course, you know (don’t you??) that you can use this idea to create a wreath to celebrate any holiday. Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Easter. You name it. If you want to decorate for it, you can make a wreath for it!
