No, this is NOT a cutely crocheted headache ball! Rather, it’s a very clever use of some rocks you pick up anywhere, cover with inexpensive cotton twine or something similar, and cleverly use to weigh down the edges of your picnic tablecloth. That rocks! BTW, I love rocks. I have covered many of them with crochet, with wire and beads, painted them, and glued things to them. Free is cool. Free, attractive, and useful is super cool! And, if you like squares, especially granny squares, you’ll love those that Kathy has presented in her blog. You can see her version of the Nordic Star Granny Square on her blog. If you haven’t already seen her Owl Squares, the afghan she created with them will knock your socks off. So lovely!! Plenty of goodies to see on Kathy’s blog. Take your time……

Well, if that isn’t just clever! Wish I’d have had those at a couple of outdoor craft shows I’ve been in! I’m a major rock collector too, JD. Now I have to think of all kinds of things that need to be weighted down besides tablecloths!

I am enjoying the past blogs, patterns that I missed! (Sept. 14, Saturday) Now… about these rocks! There’s been many a time I have had BBQ dinner parties. One smart alec would start feeling pretty good on a few beers & tease the next smart alec & so on! Great idea, but No rocks for these kids! I’ll just stick to the clips. Sheri *¿*
