The latest issue of Crochet! Magazine is a stunner! You’re sure to enjoy several of the designs in this issue. I just received my subscription copy in today’s mail and I’m excited to pull out some yarn to get started on two different projects. Here are the highlights that stand out to me. See if you agree.
First is the sweater on the cover. I won’t be crocheting that, but I will be buying myself some of the yarn it’s made with. So pretty. Same for the yarn in the baby afghan on Page 64, Pink Geranium Blanket shown in TLC Baby Light yarn color #5942 Girlie Girl. This yarn must be in my stash!
This issue also contains the first of two parts devoted to understanding Japanese crochet along with a couple patterns using the techniques discussed. Pretty, indeed! In addition, Broomstick Crochet is discussed to assist in the accompanying couple of projects using that technique.
Other scrumptious projects include the Caleo Top, a confection of lace tunic, the Spring ready short-sleeved Spider Lace Jacket, and the very pretty Crocus Lace Cardigan. The most stunning garment, IMO, is the very sophisticated Line Dancing top which could easily be extended into a full length dress with subtle yet dramatic striping. If you’ve been looking for a figure-revealing crochet dress, this could be just the one for you!
More projects, both wearable and practical, are included ranging from dish cloths to shawls and sweaters. Of course, the yarns offer a great deal of inspiration as always for me.
I have to add a bit of humor for myself here. I scooped Crochet! magazine! The have ads or write-ups on these things that I’ve previously reviewed:
Lavishea in this article. Custom Crocheted Sweaters by Dora Ohrenstein which I reviewed here. And, Omega yarns and threads which I happily wrote about here.

I was so happy to get my copy yesterday too, after seeing it online a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, when I sat down to devour each page, I discovered I was missing pages 43 to 58. Talk about bummed! They were kind enough to send me another but it will be roughly 2 weeks before it comes. I agree with you though on the yarns. Aren’t they gorgeous?
