Crochet Techniques by Renate Kirkpatrick has a great cover – colorful and appealing. The attraction doesn’t end there – but was not exactly what I expected from the title. There are several sampler projects in the book, each with well defined stitches accompanied by clear explanations and schematics. The first project is all in white – not appealing to me buy maybe to others. The more colorful projects like the Hexagon Sampler Rug is a beauty. While the colors would not be the ones I would chose, it’s a beautiful project and would be an opportunity to learn new stitches and a useful assembly technique.
If you’re a fan of samplers, there are several more in this book. It’s work a look-see.
