Crochet Temperature Blanket 2025

December 31, 2024 by Shellie Wilson

The Crochet Temperature Blanket 2025 (SKU: M24199) is a fun and memorable crochet project designed to document the weather throughout the year. Priced at $137.77, this kit allows you to crochet a blanket that reflects the daily temperatures or weather patterns in your area. It’s a perfect way to capture the year in yarn, creating a personal and colorful blanket that’s both meaningful and beautiful.

The Temperature Blanket is a unique and creative way to document each day of 2025 by crocheting a row each day using colors that correspond to the temperature or weather conditions in your location. This beginner-friendly project uses simple single crochet stitches, making it accessible for those who are new to crocheting or want to focus on a relaxing project. It’s a great way to challenge yourself throughout the year and create a stunning keepsake.

The kit includes Wool-Ease® DK yarn in the following colors:

  • Cream: A warm off-white, perfect for milder temperatures.
  • Quiet Grey: A pale, cool grey that works well for neutral, cooler days.
  • Bluegrass: A faded sky blue, ideal for more temperate days.
  • Navy: A medium blue for slightly colder or varying temperatures.
  • Lavender: A soft pinky-purple for slightly warmer days.
  • Peach: A salmon pink for those sunny and warm days.
  • Goldenrod: A mustard yellow for warmer temperatures.
  • Pumpkin: A dark muted orange for hot days.
  • Cinnamon Stick: A brownish red for the hottest temperatures.
  • Hickory: A purple-brown for exceptionally cold weather.

You will receive two balls of most colors, with one ball of Wool-Ease® DK providing about 16 rows/days, making it ideal for documenting a year’s worth of weather.

Finished Size

When completed, your blanket will measure 60 inches by 77 inches (152 cm x 196 cm), making it a cozy and sizable throw that can be proudly displayed in your home or kept on your bed.

Tools and Accessories

The kit also includes these essential accessories:

  • Size I-9 (5.5mm) Lion Brand® Bamboo Crochet Hook: This comfortable hook is ideal for working with DK weight yarn.
  • Lion Brand Large-Eye Blunt Needles: These are perfect for weaving in yarn ends as you finish your blanket.

Skill Level and Pattern

This project is categorized as Level 2 – Easy (Beginner+), making it perfect for those who are just starting out or want to crochet a project with minimal difficulty. It’s designed to be a fun, stress-free year-long project. The blanket uses single crochet stitches, and the pattern gauge is 14 sts & 19 rows = about 4 inches (10 cm) in single crochet.
