Broomstick Stitch – Crocheting With Popsicle Sticks

July 12, 2015 by Shellie Wilson

crochet-bracelet-f

This tutorial is for crocheting with a popsicle stick to create a Broomstick Stitch.

It looks rather fiddly so maybe that is why only a bracelet style cuff was made. Have you tried this technique?

This is a really tedious way to do broomstick lace. Normally it’s done with a large knitting needle (17, 19, or 35 if you want to get a little wild) and a larger (Size K or above) crochet hook. The result is very pretty and not nearly as tedious as this looks.

Video would be so much better with step by step instructions. I don’t do well with pictures without any verbage!
