Crochet slippers are the ultimate comfort for your feet, they keep your feet warm and add padding to the underfoot of your sole.

Crochet slippers make wonderful gifts as generally they fit several sizes. Slippers are great for donating to charities, as crochet slippers can be handed out to hospitals, aged care facilities, and displaced children.

Did you know the first recorded history of slippers can be traced all the way back to the 12th century?  The Vietnamese had been wearing slippers long before the folks in the West, with its earliest record of a slipper only being traced to 1478.

I found a free pattern on Simplicity creative group. The project is called high-top slipper socks. It’s crocheted. You can adapt the pattern to the color you like and simply crochet a white circle with a star on it to make them look like converse. http://www.simplicity.com/t-free-crochet-project-High-Top-Sneaker-Slippers.aspx

I’ve been looking around for a CROCHET converse pattern and found your page on Pinterest and Google search. It DID say “FREE” crochet pattern. I clicked the link and it took me to your Ravelry store where I then saw that the pattern was not free. You actually have to buy the pattern.
Like I stated earlier, I have been looking for a pattern just like yours for awhile and have been unsuccessful. So I said what the heck and bought it.
After downloading the pdf’s I scrolled through the instructions excitedly looking for the crochet pattern. I found that what you have provided is a combination knit/crochet pattern. Definitely not a TOTAL CROCHET pattern as I was lead to believe. I do not knit so I’m disappointment that I have spent the $5.44 (USD) for something I can’t use.

    Hi,

I think you have written this in the wrong place, we simply linked to the pattern. You need to contact the pattern owner directly from where you bought it. Good to know though that it’s not just a crochet pattern. Thanks for letting us know.

We have updated this post to include free patterns. Sometimes people we link to change their “free” items to paid items trying to make money. We apologize and at the time of posting it was free.

Bottom line. You need to regulate your posts better so there is none of this false advertising. After all of this mess, has anyone really found an adult high top converse tennis shoes crochet pattern?

No you can find it for a baby’s slipper but not an adult .i’m with you girls it is clearly false advertisement !

I’ve found heaps of converse patterns for free. Really all you need to do is find a pattern for sole of shoe/booties to size required and work the rest out. It’s another option. So many different sites it’s hard to keep help. Thanks for all the free patterns everyone puts out there.

You can find the FULL CROCHET directions here. The lady that narrates, uses the term ‘loops’ for stitches so it’s great for a newbie that doesn’t know the names of the stitches. For those of us that are familiar with the stitches…be patient! 😉
