Easy Crochet Shawl Scarf With Pockets

May 25, by Shellie Wilson. 6 Comments

This scarf has been going crazy all over the internet and I was so tired of seeing it on every crochet board asking how to make it that I thought I would just write the answer in a blog post. This scarf or shawl is made in a rectangle with the pockets added on. You can grab the full crochet pattern here.

I LOVE this boho shawl. It is stylish, versatile and a little something different.

It is named: PERFECT POCKETS SHAWL.

Need Crochet supplies and Yarn? We highly recommend Lionbrand for quality yarn and ongoing yarn sales and discounts. Make sure to check out their free crochet patterns too.

Are you looking for a quick, easy and stylish way to stay warm during the winter months? Why not make yourself a cozy crochet shawl with pockets? Not only will this shawl keep you warm, but it will also provide you with a handy place to store small items.

Making a crochet shawl with pockets is simple and requires minimal materials. All you will need is a medium to large size crochet hook, some yarn in the color of your choice and a pair of scissors. Once you have all of your supplies, you can begin the process of creating your shawl.

Start by chaining a row of stitches until you have the length you desire. Then, work one single crochet stitch into each chain stitch. When you reach the end of your row, chain one stitch and turn your work. Continue this process until you have the desired width of your shawl.

When you have completed your rows, it is time to add pockets. To do this, chain a row of stitches and begin to work the single crochet stitch into each chain stitch. When you have reached the desired length of the pocket, chain one stitch and turn your work. Continue this process until you have achieved the desired width of the pocket.

Once your pockets are complete, you can begin to assemble your shawl. Start by attaching the pocket to the shawl and then work a single crochet stitch along the edge of the pocket to close it up. Repeat this process for the other side of the pocket.

Now you are ready to start wearing your new shawl! Not only will it keep you warm and cozy, but it will also provide you with a handy place to store small items. So why not give this project a try and make yourself a crochet shawl with pockets this winter? It’s a great way to show off your creativity and stay warm at the same time!

everywhere it says it is a free pattern, but when I go on it, it asks me to pay for the pattern. This is false advertising.

You may find that they offered it for free and then changed it back to a paid pattern. Lots of FREE patterns are being sold on Etsy. Make sure you do your research before buying anything online.

Bubbles the Turtle Lovey Crochet Pattern

I recently had the pleasure of working on the Bubbles the Turtle Lovey Crochet Pattern, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. This sweet and cuddly turtle is the perfect companion for any little one. His playful and energetic personality is sure to bring a smile to any child’s face, and his soft and snuggly body is perfect for cuddling and napping.

One of the things that I particularly loved about this pattern is that it is budget-friendly. You can use up your yarn scraps to create an adorable snuggle blanket that is both unique and special. The pattern calls for either DK-weight or worsted weight yarn and US sizes E/3.5 mm and G/4.25 mm crochet hooks, so you have plenty of options when it comes to choosing your materials. The finished size is 14 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ (DK-weight) or 15 3/4″ x 10 1/2″ (worsted), making it the perfect size for a little one to hold and cuddle.

But what exactly is a lovey, you might ask? A lovey is a small blanket or stuffed animal that a child becomes attached to and uses for comfort and security. They are often used as a transitional object to help a child feel safe and secure when away from their primary caregivers. Loveys can be an especially helpful tool for children who are anxious or going through a major life change, such as starting daycare or moving to a new home.

In short, I highly recommend the Bubbles the Turtle Lovey Crochet Pattern. It’s a fun and budget-friendly project that is sure to bring joy and comfort to any little one. Whether you’re a seasoned crocheter or just starting out.
