Then you make some more. Then, you string them together and create this beautiful, fresh Spring garland. Or, change the colors and make it for Christmas. Change the size and use a smaller garland as a permanent swag over a doorway or window. Decorate your front door, you kitchen, your bathroom, or as a wall hanging over your headboard. Don’t you love these fresh colors?
Here‘s where you can look for free patterns, motif (medallion) ideas, and a tutorial of sorts. Looks like fun to me!
I think a pretty garland like the one near the top of this article would look especially nice above a baby’s crib. What other ideas do you have for changing trivet and doily patterns into garlands?

An additional idea…take the motifs and join them to make a belt, scarf or baby blanket.
I have a few “test” swatches & motifs laying around…now I must find them all.

I made a valance in my kitchen by attaching vintage crocheted potholders to a cafe curtain rod. The cafe curtain rings attach quickly to each potholder. It’s the highlight of my kitchen!
