Pretty Crochet Slipper Pattern

Aren’t these pretty slippers?  They look like they’d work up quickly.  Check it out here.  These fall into the carry-along quick pattern category.  They would make a nice gift.  Picking out pretty buttons could be half the fun!

NOTE:  THIS PICTURE IS FOR INSPIRATION AS THE PATTERN IS, REGRETTABLY,  NOT YET AVAILABLE.  There is no tutorial available at present, although it was posted earlier and disappeared.  This typically happens when a pattern has been noticed on the internet and a publisher offers to include it in a book – as happened in this case.

  6. The slippers look great. But I’m writing to comment on that wonderful tattoo. That is the best ankle tattoo that I’ve ever seen and felt that it was totally appropriate, beautifully rendered and simply lovely.

This Free Shock Wave Crochet Lap Blanket Pattern from Mary Maxim looks like one of those wonderfully satisfying projects that gives big cozy payoff without fiddly detail. Mary Maxim lists it as a free download, designed as a crochet afghan/lap blanket, with a finished size of 45 x 50 inches.

What immediately stands out is the yarn choice. The pattern is made with Bernat Blanket Extra Thick, using 5 skeins, and calls for a U.S. U/50 (25 mm) crochet hook. My overall take? This looks like a fast, cozy, beginner-friendly crochet blanket pattern with plenty of texture and instant-gratification energy. Very much the sort of project you start because it looks easy, then keep going because the yarn feels ridiculously soft.
