I really love the look of this chunky, recycled bracelet. This gives me some larger notions – like a matching bracelet.
The designer of this pretty upcycled t-shirt bracelet is Athena. She has a nice tutorial to show you how to make your own. Check it out here.
I simply love the idea of using things we might otherwise discard to make something useful and/or beautiful. In this case. Athena used a thrift store t-shirt. But, in my home, I wouldn’t have to buy an old t-shirt. There are plenty around here. I also have a nice selection of pony beads. Other beads would work too, as well as jump rings and charms.
If you make one from Athena’s tutorial, please take a pic to share with us. I’d love to see more of these. I think I’m going to have to get a t-shirt and make my mom a necklace – and myself a bracelet.
STAY TUNED FOR ANOTHER FANTASTIC bracelet tomorrow! You’re gonna like it too!

I made these this summer with Girl Scouts – tiny fingers, no crochet hook needed! They finger crocheted and used the UV pony beads. It was so cute to see their faces as they made white bracelets with white beads, then went outside and the beads changed colors! Fun!
