Cotton yarn s an excellent choice for making dishcloths. Unlike other yarn materials, cotton yarn is durable and absorbent, which makes it ideal for cleaning and washing dishes. The fibers in the cotton yarn are also soft and gentle, making them suitable for sensitive skin. Moreover, cotton is easy to care for and can be washed in a washing machine, making it a practical choice for dishcloths that need frequent cleaning.

We love the concept of making long-lasting re-usable dishcloths that are practical and help save the environment. We highly suggest using a 100% Cotton yarn as it stays fresh longer. Looking for more Dishcloth patterns?

I love making dishcloths! I have a drawer in my kitchen that is (over)stuffed with them, and yet I am always itching to make more. I’d love to try making one a month- I might even try to make one that fits the theme or holiday of the month.
    January- Snowflake
    February- Heart
    March- Shamrock
April- Cloud (for April Showers) or Egg (for Easter)
    May- Flower
June- Ladybug (the phrase “June Bug” is coming to mind)
    July- Flag
    August- Sun
    September- Leaf or Acorn
    October- Pumpkin or Candy Corn
    November- Turkey
    December- Tree or Star

And, now that I’ve put it in writing, I think I really need to do it! Thanks for the inspiration!
