Here’s another very quick idea which I find particularly appealing. Take almost any bottle, colored or clear, and cover it with some twine or whatever yarn you have on hand to create a useful and pretty something from almost nothing – stuff you might otherwise throw away.
You can use these nifty little bottles for all kinds of purposes – pop a little candle inside and it’s a luminaria. Fill with colored sand or pretty beach glass and you have a home decor trinket. Fill with water and set on a window ledge where they’ll catch the light just right. I’m sure you can come up with even better ideas. So, rather than toss out the cool wine or vinegar bottle, the heavy ketchup container, or the jelly jar, break out the orphan skeins of yarn or twine and work up a bit of art.
YIKES! I owe a huge apology to the person who created this pretty bottle. Somehow I’ve lost the link to the blog where I had seen it. If anyone recognizes it, please be kind enough to help me out and post a link.
THANKS TO ANNESSA WE HAVE THE LINK TO THIS PATTERN. Here it is!
