EVERBODY’S TALKING ABOUT TWINKIE!

October 5, by jd wolfe. 3 Comments

All over the crochet (inter)net, everyone’s talking about Twinkie Chan. Who is Twinkie? She’s part of a movement called ‘Indie Crafts’. There are lots of artists and crafters who are part of the Indie movement – Indie as in Independent. Twinkie is an independent stylist IMO and has created any number of very cute or cool (depending on your tastes) scarves. Well, whatever your opinion, I believe that most of us will agree that Twinkie is talented and creative.

Above is a picture of Twinkie and some of her scarves. I haven’t researched enough to know if the wall art is Twinkie’s also. How would she have time??

The most talked about of Twinkie’s scarves is the Cupcake Scarf which sold on Ebay for mucho dinero.

The whole Indie Crafts thing has blossomed in print and on the net. Check out magazines like ‘Adorn’ but first, take a look at this charming crochet creation on the Adorn blog site:

which are open forums for all things crochet and the talented people around the world who are interpreting their view of our wonderful life in crochet.

And, of course, don’t forget to check out another craftgossip blog dedicated to indie crafts:

My favorite project is the flying tea cups. They are nice, I’m sure they give a different atmosphere the place they hang.
